This is our 3rd time cruising this itinerary. We love the ports it goes to and the weather in March/April is perfect! The Dawn is older ship and some areas of the ship shows it's age. We have cruised on 2 other NCL ships that were much nicer then the Dawn. Several times through out the week there seemed to be leaks (ie.. wet carpet with dryers out trying to dry the area). The dining options were good. Food was good. Activities staff did a wonderful job making the ship a "party atmosphere". Kudos to the activities staff!

My biggest complaint was the cabin we were assigned. We booked an ocean view room that was supposed to accommodate 4 people. When we walked in our room it had 2 twin beds and 1 bunk. We wondered where the 4th bed was.... it was a "pop up" bed that was stored under one of the twins. If you have ever been in a stateroom on a ship you know there is limited floor space. We went to the service desk (although the desk clerk was friendly) she really could not help us as the ship was sold out. She did have a supervisor come to our room to explain how the 4th bed would be arranged in our stateroom. Basically the 4th bed was to be put up in between the 2 twin beds making our stateroom wall to wall bed! Really, we have to live like this for a week??? When I asked the supervisor how I get out of bed with a bunk overhead and a bed in the walkway her answer was "well you jump" this reply from a supervisor just made the situation more frustrating. Needless to say nothing was done to make the accommodation right so I warn you if you are sailing on the Dawn beware of what room you are booking or being assigned it really might not be made to accommodate your party.

This stateroom is really only meant to accommodate 3 people. They will sell it to you as accommodating up to 4 but you will have a 4th bed put up making your room wall to wall bed. Being on deck 4 forward you can really hear the ship moving through the water mainly at night when trying to sleep. It was not a problem for our group but could be an issue for others.
