Quick overview - 5 of us traveling: husband and I, daughters ages 9 and 12, and son age 17. I will be discussing each topic as I remember so I am sorry if it jumps around.

Embarkation - We arrived at the cruise terminal around 11:45 Sunday morning and experienced very few delays. Security screening was split into two main lines but each appeared to move the same speed. Only delays were from passengers trying to remove objects from their pockets at the last moment prior to the scanners. We made it through to the check in lines within 15 minutes or so. Check in process was smooth and we were surprising onboard the ship, setting carry-on luggage into the cabins, and ready for lunch prior to 1PM.

Overall first impression - Almost all the staff members we encountered were very pleasant. We had already reminded the kids that the staff members are actually working and not on a vacation like us so a smile goes a long way. Everywhere we went within the ship we were greeted with smiles and a "hello" or a "welcome". Smiles to staff members were returned in kind. Those appearing to be having a long day perked up when greeted with smiles and kind words. 8+ month contracts with long periods away from home is something that our military family could understand.

Cabin OB

We stayed in the adjoining cabins 5102/5106. Our cabin steward Mr. Dipak was fantastic and took care of anything that we needed. TWe had 3 kids in one cabin with my husband and I on the other cabin. There was plenty of room for all of our belongings between the closets and the drawers. There were 6 sliding drawers in each cabin plus additional storage shelves located in the sides of each closet. We had plenty of hangers for a 7 day cruise since most of our clothes were casual wear. The storage was sufficient to hold all 4 of our rolling suitcases plus carry ons.

Bathroom area was also very good. We liked the separators between toilet and sink areas and the spacious shower. Toilet area was a bit small so I can't imagine what it was like for a larger sized person.

We all loved the large picture window. It made the rooms seem larger and each day we had at least one child perched in front of it.
