First of all, the ship is beautiful. It is an amazing sight to see and our cabin was also beautiful, as it should be since we paid extra for a balcony room . The staff was friendly for the most part. However, we had to ask directions several times and since most of the staff either do not speak English well or dont know the ship well enough to give directions, we were pretty much on our own to find stuff. Oh and dont try to goto the customer relations desk because there was a line out the door of the place at any given time. It was not communicated well where the "free" dining was but we eventually found it. The windjammer was chaotic and difficult to find a seat at mealtimes. The food there was mediocre, nothing to write home about. The food at the "free" dinner dining was pretty good except for the steak -do NOT get .. we tried it twice and it was terrible quality. The first night we had a waiter that had "head waiter" on his nametag and as soon as we sat down he asked us if we wanted a drink from the bar ($$$$) and we said "no".. we got a snide look from him and barely saw him after that, poor service. No wonder he is head waiter, he was all about the money. The service at the restaurants I paid for was excellent. Giovanni's table food&service were remarkable! I had prepaid for Central Park 150 but the menu was limited to two entrees ( and neither appealed to us) but they told us a refund was no problem. On our final bill we were refunded $60 and I had paid $80 so checking on that. I usually enjoy a relaxing massage on vacation so I booked a (pricey) massage but hey, figured I was on vacay, what the heck. Well, the masseuse was friendly at first, then at the beginning of the massage told me that I would benefit from hot stones . I was like whatever, fine. -( $30 upgrade) then she asked me if I used this product and that product &when I said no, gave me a "rehearsed" laugh like I must be CRAZY not to use oil/exfoliator/whatever other product she was trying to sell. I just wanted to relax, not feel bombarded by a salesperson. The manicure pedicure went the same way, selling this&that , giving me the same "rehearsed" laugh when I told them I didnt use a product to rejuvinate my skin,lol...it was like a weird, stressful twilight zone of spa-sales-zombies. I really wanted to leave. I had planned to book a later massage but decided just to wait till I got home. The pools were beautiful...packed with kids though..it was spring break. And dont try to get a lounge chair after 9:30 am because apparently people stick their towels on them to reserve them & then leave to do activities on the ship and come back when they feel like it. Very dissapointed that the ship doesnt have a policy or enforce a policy about this. There was literally nowhere that I could find two chairs together for my fiance and I to lay together. I was about to start throwing towels. Overall I am dissapointed and am..weeks later finding charges on my credit card that I am having to dispute. We had a minifridge in our room that had 2 waters,3 cans of soda and a couple of bags of m&ms&mini-snickers. These items were never replenished the entire week and I didnt know any better (this was my first royal Caribbean cruise) I didnt know they were supposed to be replenishing them. Well, there are FOUR charges on my final bill for $42.46 that are labelled "minibar"...surprise!! gotta go fight this battle now. Oh and icing on the cake, there was a 2 hour line we stood in at customs leaving the ship (they had 2 out of 15 lines open ..on a Saturday!..hello walmart!& then, since we parked the car in the parking lot for 7 days, parking fee was $105.00.. pay up sucker!...We just wanted to get the heck out of there!

Port Reviews

Labadee

There was a buffet there that was decent. People were pretty friendly. There were n"n swimming" signs everywhere (unless you purchased a $200 cabana for the day of course) then, it was fine! Our snorkeling excursion was cancelled , which was fine because the water was ice cold! bad time of year apparently. They didnt give us any hassle about a refund though which was nice. Enjoyed a little time of sitting in the sun on a chair but was over this place in about an hour, ready to get back on the ship
