This was our fourth carnival cruise. The ship was nice and clean. Service from all carnival employees was excellent. Our cabin was above the piano bar and we could hear muted music till late at night but this was not a deal breaker. The main dining room was very good with very good service. Guys Burgers is also a very welcome addition. the entertainment has really went downhill since our last cruise.
Getting on and off the ship was normal for Galveston. We only did one excursion in Belize and it was excellent (ruins and river tour) The bad part was that we were way late getting off the ship and way late getting back.
normal balcony, muted noise from piano bar right below us.
Shared a cab down town 8 bucks total. Bought our gifts to bring back home. Drank a couple of $1.00 local beers and went back to the ship. The ship was half empty and we explored parts that we had not visited yet and took lots of pics.
Galveston is what it is. We got to town Friday night checked in at the beachcomber inn.
This is an average motel, very clean, excellent staff where you can leave your car for 25% of the normal cost I looked it up and booked online.
Very crowded we just tried to shop a little and go to the beach. We normally just get a cab and tell the driver to show us his home and what he or she loves about their country but we did not this time because of carnivals warnings.
