Cabin: Oceanview Stateroom

I was so worried reading the previous reviews on this forum, but my fears were unfounded. It seems some people aren’t happy unless they’re miserable and complaining bitterly. If your entire holiday is ruined by not getting a chocolate on your pillow, a slow lift or having to line up for five minutes – STAY HOME.

We embarked at Fremantle – smooth process, no queues and straight on the boat. Stateroom was ready immediately for dropping off hand luggage etc. We had four people (2 adults and 13 and 12 year old boys) in an outside cabin. The bottom bed was set up with the two twins pushed together and the kids had the bunks above us. There was plenty of shelf, drawer and hanging space for the 4 of us. As the cabin was just somewhere to sleep, the size was irrelevant and we managed to co-exist happily for 14 days. Our cabin attendant, Lester, was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.

The only night we had to queue for the dining room was the first night when everyone had to check-in for their my-time dining – after that it was immediate entry to our regular table. The service, food and variety was excellent. As we don’t eat sugar, having a sugar-free dessert option every day for both lunch and dinner was fantastic. The days we wanted to catch a show, or had somewhere else to be, Edwin and Feliciano made sure we were fed and out quickly. The other days, we just enjoyed a leisurely pace and the wonderful company of the other tables.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin H

We had 4 people in the Oceanview cabin. Lots of storage space and while small, didn't feel cramped.

A very quiet room, well away from public areas and the lifts/stairs.

Toward the back, but no real engine noise other than the hum of the motors.

Really just a place to sleep, we didn't spend much time in there during the day.
