St. Thomas - we got a "gypsy" taxi driver at the Kmart to take us to Sapphire Beach for $4 pp. You can save yourself a lot of money if you just keep walking thru the first set of taxi drivers and head on into town toward Kmart. They get cheaper as you go. We had planned on taking the bus, but as it worked out, Denzel, our driver, did a great job in getting us there fast and then picking us up later. He was a little late and the other taxi driver's waiting were trying to convince us to let them take us for $10 pp back to the ship because he was a "gypsy" taxi driver and they told us they never return to pick up their fares, when here comes Denzel. He apologized for being a few minutes late and we were off! Sapphire Beach was beautiful!! Snorkeling great too and not too crowded either. Friendly iguanas that will eat from your hand. Food, drinks, chairs and bathrooms are all there. 


St. Thomas

St. Maarten - Orient Beach - Taxied there for $6 pp.  Got chairs, umbrella and drinks for $15 at the Pirate Bar, but they are all about the same along the beach. The nude section of beach is only about 100 feet away, so you can see the nude "sentries" near the rock boundary that welcome you into their area (or disuade you from entering, I guess it could go either way). It was enjoyable to people watch here, and a beautiful beach also.
The weather did not cooperate though, it started raining and didn't stop for about 45 minutes.  This soaked our chairs and was a bit irritating. But we still enjoyed our day here. There were many vendors and lots of food offerings here also.

St. Maarten

Antigua - We went to the Watchtower Branch Office by taxi here. We toured and came back to the ship. It started raining around 1pm, so we just hung out on the ship the rest of the day. 


Antigua

St. Lucia - Cosol tour - $65 pp and worth it. 6 hour tour with all kinds of food and drinks included. Lots of driving around the island, (toward the end I was getting a little car sick, but we were tired too) and again it rained for part of this tour, but the sun came out when it was time for snorkeling at Jalousie Bay between the Pitons. That was the highlight of the day. Johnny cakes and hot bread with cheese were my favorite snacks we tried. Also tried the local St. Lucia "Viagra" - a spiced rum 160 Proof! Wow. 


St. Lucia

Barbados - We again intended to take the bus but as we walked the taxi's got cheaper and cheaper. Ended up going for $3 pp to Folkestone beach. The locals there told us that it was the best for snorkeling, but the weather was rough and the water murky that day. I'd try again if we get the chance to come again. Police officer, lifeguards, food, showers and restrooms right there. Our driver picked us up at 1 pm and dropped us at Brandon's beach (-for another $3pp) - within eyesight of the ship. A beautiful sandy beach with food and restrooms. Try the flying fish!! We walked the 1/2 hour back to the ship- we needed it anyway. We did a little shopping in the shopping area as we got back on the ship. 


Barbados

We liked our room. It was small but fine. We weren't there long enough to complain about it. The bed and sheets are excellent. Sleep came easily every night. I miss that bed already!

Every dish I tried was so good, sometimes they brought us 2 because we couldn't choose!Although we wondered why they were pushing so much extra food on us at dinner and thought it might be because they had way too much extra because of the missing people.
