We have traveled on a lot of cruises with Royal Caribbean and this was by far the most relaxing cruise we have taken. We usually arrive at the port the day before our cruise, but this trip we had to fly the same day due to our flight the night before being cancelled by Delta. This was our first time we chose to use the port transfer service and lets just say it will be our last due to having to wait for other people from other flights so it took a while to get to the port. Once arriving at the port, we quickly made it onboard because of our status and everything was awesome for the rest of the week. A couple weeks prior to the cruise we were upgraded from an inside to balcony (9056) and we had the best stateroom attendant (Ryan) who made sure we were well taken care of. Throughout the cruise we noticed that the people of this ship are extremely pleasant and seem to be one huge team. After watching an interview of Capt. Thore Thorolvsen, I think he has a big part in that. From the dining to the pool and bar staff, we never had any issues. We never had to ask for anything the whole trip. At first we thought that the Cruise Director, John Blair, was a little on the boring side, but he made up for it. ( I guess Graham Seymore will always be my favorite). We were told that the ship was full, but you couldn't tell one bit. After the muster drill, there were no crowds anywhere, except maybe the only cruising day at the pool. We were on the same class ship (Serenade) while on a Med cruise, but this one seemed to run a lot smoother.
Overall, I am a big fan of this ship and looking forward to going on it again. Now if I can just say the same thing about the Allure after we cruise on it Feb 2016....
Great location, great view.
Just took a walk around the port to get a sense of the local ways. Wife did some shopping and the prices were very good. She bought several things and a very good price.
Very hot the day we arrived and tired as well so we just walked around town. It seemed like a nice place and will take an excursion if I ever go back. People seemed very nice and many came up appreciating the US's involvement back in the 80's
