Sail Date: Mar 2015

The ship needed a total interior redo. carpets, couches, chairs, everything seemed well used. Even the exterior of the ship needed a paint job. Service was excellent from our room steward. The food was just average except for the specials for the 50th anniversary, they were excellent, It go's to show you that the cooks and chefs can put out fantastic fare when they allowed to. Since we did our own tours ,we had no complaints except the unbelievable length of time it takes to get to Macho Picchu. Wow!! That was excruciating, especially the bus ride from Cusco. All the other ports were just ok, be sure you see the Catholic Church and Cross in Coqimbo, very impressive. Leaving Cabo at 1:00 makes it almost worthless getting off the boat , except for a tasty beer or margarita. In Long Beach the baggage took for ever to pick up, around 10:00, considering we docked at 7:00 and we walked off at 8:30.

The entertainment was good but the stage shows were stale , especially if you were on board for the first two weeks from Buenos Aires. The boat was going in dry dock for two weeks after this cruise, they were already replacing chairs, carpets and tables in some of the lounges while we were on the cruise. Seemed a little strange ,to me.
