We cruise Princess frequently, but decided to take a cruise on Royal Caribbean because of the availability of a short cruise over Spring Break. Every crew member we encountered was wonderful, from Elmer, our cabin steward, to Mr. Pereira, the hotel manager. We ate lunch at the Windjammer Cafe most afternoons and found the food very good. We dined in the Chops Grille each evening and had wonderful service, delicious food, and good wine.
We were booked in a suite, which gave us the privilege of using the Concierge Lounge, where we were well taken care of by Carlington and Oliver. The evening hors d'oeuvres were very good and the drinks well-shaken.
We did find the ship dated and in need of repairs: carpets were worn and dirty; light switches were not functioning; the bed was like sleeping on a board; the curtains covering the balcony doors did not open and close with the cord.
The bed was terrible! My husband woke up with a sore neck and back every morning. The barthroom was dimly lit. It was a nice cabin, but not as big as we expected.
