I saved for a year and planned an epic vacation journey for me and my family aboard the carnival breeze, we were on an 8 day sailing to Aruba, Grand Turk, La Dominica, & Curacao. This is our sixth sailing with carnival and we continue to come back because the prices are affordable. We booked room 7266 a balcony room that slept 4 people. We started with flying in the day before and spending the day at Universal Studios let me save you a ton of money and hassle save the money. In order to get the full universal experience that you read about online you have to buy tickets for two separate theme parks as well as the first in line tickets so taking the daily admission price of around $100 per person to almost $300 per person. Otherwise you will only get to ride on 1/2 the advertised rides and for the good ones the lines were over 1 hour on a Friday, I could only imagine what the weekend would be. Wish we went to the beach and saved that money for the ship.

Carnival has sped up the curb to ship experience since the last time we sailed from Miami it took us about 1 hour to get on board and to our surprise the room was ready so we could drop off our carry on luggage. They also have an app called "the hub" which has the fun times on your cell phone, maps of the ship, and a communication tool (only if you are over 12) to keep in touch with each other. The cabin was what you saw on the internet clean, and enough room for a family of four.

We had booked the Dolphin experience in La Dominica, Jeep excursion in Aruba, and the UTV excursion in Curacao. The Jeep experience in Aruba is the only one that lived up to exceptions an it was a fun 4 hours and a good way to bounce around and see the island. Our guide made the drive fun and gave us a lot of information about the island. The UTV excursion was so so it had a lot of street riding and not as much places to take photographs you basic nose to but tour. The biggest waste of money was the dolphin encounter at La Dominica it is over 1 hour away on a bus ride no one spoke English and we rode in silence when you got there no one gave you instruction as to what to do or where to go. The time with the dolphins was good but they are out to sell you a photo CD for several hundred dollars and since you can't take your own photo's they have you over a barrel. We didn't know what to do after the dolphins was there and we didn't want to miss the tour bus so we went back to the bus and waited another 80 minutes in the bus to leave. Honestly I would just stay on the ship at this port.

Grand Turk

It was canceled due to high wind so we did not get to see it, we are doing a cruise this summer where that is one of the stops. We were really disappointing because this was the beach day.
