Sunday

We arrive to San Juan Airport about 11:30 AM. Immediately took taxi to Pan-American pier for Adventure of Seas at $21 . Handed off our bags to tenant. Than took the same cab into old San Juan for $8. Had cabbie drop us off at Barrachina restaurant. Famous for being the first to introduce the pina-colada. We ate lunch and walk in the city admiring the beauty of the Old San Juan. Highlights of that excursion was the Pigeon Park, Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, Cemetery Santa Maria next to old fort Castillo San Felipe del Morro. The fort area was nice place with all the locals out with kites flying. Look over the cemetery nearby, old church. Headed back to cabin area. Note it's best: to walk back over to the taxi drop off point if you’re looking to get back to Pan-American pier. We just did not see many taxis around.

Adventure of Seas boarding a bit slow. We had gotten email and phone call from RC prior to arriving into San Juan. Asking deck 9 to come aboard at 2:00, deck 8 at 3pm and so on. We arrived finding one line people carrying all luggage to porters than another line formed to sign into RC and security check passport and sail documents. Than lineup to front desk to have ship passes made and fill out rather form rather we been expose to sickness. Than it was on to walk to ship but before you could get on with it they were taking pictures which held everyone held up. We managed pass it only to find two separated lines with security checking once again. Yes security again and they took there time. Than it was on to ship security to use your sail passes to walk on the ship. Yes finally got on.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Balcony cabin plenty of room but smelled for a few days. Room was nice though we like the baclony. We bought some wire hangers with us and got everything put away.

All of the RC staff spoke to us they all worked hard. I did not sleep well my side of the felt like it was slanted, wife slept very well. TV remote was aggravating all the time, to much in a delay from channel to channel. Almost like it needed new battieres. Light blew out one night wife using here hair dryer, the attendant stated it that a lot with our room and the one next door.
