We had a great time on the Britannia for the 14 night Canary Islands, Morroco , Spain and Portugal trip.

The ship is indeed huge and we were still getting lost right up until departure. All in all the cruise was well organised. We didn't have to queue for meals at all which I was concerned about and Freedom dining suited us well. We tried Sindhu which was gorgeous and also the Glass House and The Beach House. Both these restaurants carry an extra charge but the Beach House was very reasonable at only £5. I was disappointed that afternoon tea was only provided in the Horizon and not the Peninsular as we particularly liked the afternoon tea served in the restaurant on our last cruise on the Arcadia. On the Britannia you have to book it at the Epicurean restaurant and it costs £14 extra.

The food was very good and the choice amazing.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Very nice but no bath only a shower. Balcony a bit small

Port Reviews

Southampton

Rainy as usual. Embarkation was ok and we were on ship at time allocated. We used cruise parking to leave our car and this went smoothly. We were bowled over when we saw size of ship and were very excited when we got on board and saw the fantastic atrium.

Lisbon

We walked up to the castle at the top of the hill in the morning and spent the afternoon in the town. There was plenty to do and see. Weather was ok but not as hot as I'd have liked.

Vigo

Nice clean place though quite a bit of graffiti. It was quite a modern town and apart from walking up to the top of the hill and looking at the scenery we didn't find as much to do or see here.
