After reading so many of these reviews, I was terrified to go on this ship. I had the lowest expectations and was preparing myself for the worst. The experience I had on this boat was the complete opposite.
Embarkation was easy. We got to the port around 10:30 AM right off a flight and we were able to begin the boarding process. We did not board the ship until around 11 AM. Upon entering the ship, we were all greeted with mimosas or champagne. Our rooms were not available yet so we went to the Oceanview Cafe for some lunch. From the reviews, I heard that the food was terrible. Every single thing I had on this cruise was absolutely delicious, even the buffet. The lunch buffet consisted of a carving station, a cheese station, a pasta station, pizza, asian food, desserts, and much more. There was never a shortage of food and the lines to get items that required a line moved very fast. The breakfast buffet contained the usual food, with an omelette station and even fresh lox for bagels.
When we got to our stateroom on deck 2, we were pleased to find it in good condition and clean. There is plenty of storage and the bathroom is spacious. We had one double bed with two beds that folded down from the ceiling and there was still room to move around.
The cabin was clean when we got it and was cleaned very well every day. The beds were comfortable and they changed the sheets and towels often.
Very easy to get to the port from the airport and easy to find your ship once you get in there. Security at the front is a great measure to ensure only the people going on ships are allowed in.
