I saw the Royal Princess docked in Quebec City, Quebec, when I was on another cruise line. As soon as I got home I called my travel agent and booked a 10 night Southern Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale. This is my 4th cruise with Princess. The Royal Princess is a beautiful ship. She holds over 4,000 passengers but she never felt crowded. There were several reviews about not being able to walk from one end of the ship to the other on certain decks . Unfortunately, you have to have the ship galley or no one would be eating, it takes up two decks of the ship.
The Pros:
Beautiful Ship, I walked every deck so I could see everything on the ship.
Royal Princess does not have ocean view cabins so I opted for a interior cabin on Deck 11, Baja. This cabin was huge. I have taken over 20 cruises and never have I had so much closet space. There were 3 separate closets, I didn't take enough clothes to fill them. The bathroom was small but was fine. The bed was a little to hard for my liking but I slept just fine. The stateroom attendant, Felix, was amazing. I always had clean towels, sheets, etc. Never had to ask for any thing. I would book an interior on this ship again if I could have the same cabin again.
I think Aruba was the most beautiful of the islands we visited. The people were friendly and many shops and things to see. I was suppose to take a excursion but I woke up too late and missed it, so I just walked around and I enjoyed that probably more then I would have the excursion.
I did not like Bonaire at all. Very little to see. It relies on tourism for most of their money and the people pressure you to buy or do stuff. If I ever do a Southern Caribbean I will not get off the ship in Bonaire.
I just walked around. It was pretty with beautiful flowers every where but I wasn't too impressed with Dominica. I would probably stay on the ship if I ever go there again.
