This was our second cruise, but it had been 10 years since our last one. We weren't sure what to expect as some of the most recent reviews were somewhat negative regarding food and experience. We however had an absolutely amazing time. I really have nothing negative to say about the experience. My husband and are in our low 30's and we have a 3 year old. We were also cruising with another young couple that had two children ages 4 and 7.

I read a lot of complaints about the dress code on cruise elegant nights and honestly I'm not quite sure what the big deal is. Yes there were some people that didn't really follow the dress code but why is that going to ruin your time. We dressed up nice for every dinner and it did not bother us one bit that some people chose not too. We dressed up because we wanted to look nice, not to impress anyone.

The food was pretty good as was service. We ate in the dining room 5 out of 7 nights and I thought they had lots of different choices to please everyone and i never had a bad meal. We had anytime dining and most nights we were in and seated within 5 minutes. I think one night we had to wait 10-15 minutes max. We ate at different times every night as we had small children with us and it all depended on what went on that day. If you are traveling with small children, I highly recommend anytime dining. It makes things so much easier. Some days our little one needed a nap after a long day in the sun and having a set time for dinner just would not have worked. I recommend either going right at 5:45 or waiting and going after 7. It seems as though a lot of people go right at 5:45 and once the dining room is filled up you will have to wait. We ate in the steakhouse 1 night for the extra fee and it was definitely well worth It!!!! The food was excellent!!!! Guys burgers and the burritos are also great. Pizza pirate also makes great pizza and is open 24 hours.

We were on the first floor directly in the middle of the ship right off the elevator. I was a little hesitant about the fact that we were so close to the elevator and we have a 3 year old but she slept just fine. The only negative would be hearing the beeping of the elevator everytime someone got on or off but once we fell asleep it wasn't a problem. I was woken up only a few times by a couple noisy teenagers heading to bed late night but other than that it was a great room. Felt hardly any rocking or movement, and it was fairly quiet most nights.
