Very disappointed in port visits. Ship was late leaving port, we missed two ports completely and others cut short. Management first blamed ocean current issues from prior voyage, then later generator issues. Kept changing what was the true issue. We never felt they were honest.. Interestingly travel mate met a woman who had actually traveled on the prior cruise. She shared that the ship had engine/generator issues on their trip, resulting in similar issues. When we left ship in San Diego, Veendam was boarding the next group of soon to be disappointed travelers. Holland America offered a 20% discount on NEXT booked cruise. Why would we trust them again? OF NOTE, the crew was great , made every attempt to be nice. Service was good, food fair.

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo
Cancel led port. Cancelled port, canceled port, disappointing. I was really looking forward to this port visit. To bad, communication was poor, 150 words is a lot of negative, should I go on.
Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Ship was late coming into port, thus we were late leaving port. We called ship when we learned ship was late and we told to come down to dock, there would be accommodations for waiting prior to boarding. When we arrived there was no where to sit or wait. Poor planning and organization.
