It was my first time in Europe in a cruise. I was a little reluctant because of time in the port of calls and I like to get to know the cities I go to. But NCL made my experience so amazing I've already booked another cruise to Europe. It was a mother daughter trip, a "congratuation" present for me for my high school graduation and college acceptance.
My flight was Sao Paulo, Brazil to Paris, France, flying AirFrance. Over all, the flight was good. Than, another short flight, a connection, to Barcelona, where I spend four days before the cruise. I booked Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona. The hotel is beautiful, located next the port terminal and the beautiful beach. A short trip by taxi leads you to the city center.
We arrived by taxi quite early on the port terminal, around 11 am. It was not crowded and our embarkation was very easy. We waited probably half a hour to embark the ship, but was worth it. Our bags got really early in our stateroom.
When we booked our cruise, all good cabins were gone, meaning with more space and balcony.
The stateroom was always very clear and it had enough space to fit everything if you're not an over packer.
The bathroom had a good space. Not big and not the smallest bathroom ever.
I always recommend getting a cabin with at least a balcony - makes all the difference and it is a little bigger than the oceanviews.
