Just what I expected - but even better!

Review for the Southern Caribbean Cruise on Legend of the Seas

I knew when I booked this cruise that Legend was a smaller, older ship so I knew what to expect. What I did not expect was the friendly crew and staff. Everywhere on the ship we were greeted with a smile and treated as if they were happy to have us on board! We had great weather and we loved the itinerary (St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Dominica, Antigua and St. Maarten). We have been to all of the ports several times before but it was still enjoyable.

We are an older couple so we do not need all the bells and whistles of the new huge ships (although at home we are on our iPads all the time). Some young people might not enjoy this ship, but that is why RCCL has so many choices.

Our stateroom was an Inside on deck 2. I called it the "Bargain Basement" but it was fine for us as we only were only there for dressing and sleeping. We enjoyed the food in the Windjammer for breakfast and some lunches. We had late traditional dinner and had great table mates! We did go to Chops (additional charge dinner restaurant) and it was delicious! It was so good we went the first night with a discount and went back a second time later in the week. The Park Cafe was also good for snacks or lunch.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

Small but sufficient for sleeping and dressing. Best to get the beds separated for best use of the space.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Just just walked around St. Maarten and shopped. Enjoyed lunch a beachfront cafe. It is very easy to take the ferry over to the beach. You can rent beach chairs and an umbrella for a low price if you like. Beautiful views!

Dominica

We hopped on a open air tour bus with others from our ship. It was about a 2 hour tour and it was very nice. It was an independent tour was what we were looking for.
