We have always enjoyed cruising with RCCL and the Freedom has been our favorite ship. We have cruised on her 4 times over the past 6 years, most recently April 2015. This time was our last and perhaps our last cruise with Royal Caribbean. The whole experience was lacking and we spent the week wondering what had happened. It had the feel of a discount cruise line. A few examples...we only saw the cabin steward once the entire trip. Our room was cleaned but the interaction was gone. The food was scaled back and less imaginative and the dining room staff, while mostly efficient, lacked the personal touches that we have come to expect from RCCL. The cruise director and staff were much less involved and certainly less impressive than normal. We have now seen the same shows several times. It's time to change the production shows and the magician if they want to encourage repeat cruisers. It was the little things that added up...the same menu every day in the Promenade Cafe (it used to vary daily), less rings and Tshirts being thrown out at the 70's Street Party, standing in the guest relation line multiple times because they couldn't make room keys work, etc. If I had to sum it up, I would just say LESS of everything. Definitely not the same RCCL we fell in love with 10 cruises ago. We will try a new cruise line next time and keep searching until we find one who offers what RCCL used to and who hasn't shifted their focus from the customer to the profit margin.

4th time was not the charm!
