Left on the Carnival Pride on its first time back to Baltimore. Had a good time as usual being this is my 8th cruise on the Pride. I must say the up grades they made on this ship were beautiful! They put in a Guys Burger Joint, a Blue Laguna Mexican place, a Suhi place, upgraded some of the bars and added two new water slides. Oh and they upgraded the Cherry on top candy store. They have also put in new entertainment such as Hasbo game shows and new Carnival dancers shows. Which I was glad since I had seen the old shows a few times. The crew that works on the Pride were great. The only problem I had was it was spring break with around 800 children on board and of course you always get a few that are a problem. Last year we were on there the same time with the college kids on spring break and actually they were more well behaved then the Tweens. But all in all. There is plenty to do on board and off. Grand Turk has a great beach and let's not forget Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. Plus Half Moon Cay is one of the most beautiful beachs I have ever set foot on. No one ever wants to leave. I love the Carnival Pride and am so glad it is back in Baltimore!

Port Reviews

Baltimore

Live here and just get dropped off. Very easy access to the port. Have met many people who love coming to Baltimore Port because of how easy it is to access. Right off of I95.

Grand Turk

I love getting up early enough it watch us pull up to the pier at Grand Turk. After we get off we go through the shop and out into a court yard. If you head to the right there is a display about John Glenn's space craft that landed off the coast of Grand Turk in 1962. Then if you reather head to the left you will be headed towards Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville! Great place. Good food, good drinks, great pool. There are some really nice shops around the square too. If you want to venture outside the gate there is a trolley called tram tours that for a charge will take you on a tour of the island. Now don't forget before you head back to the boat to hit that beach!

Half Moon Cay

I love this place. Now if there is Heaven on earth, this would be the place. If any of you are like me and love the beach, it doesn't get any better than this. I go up to the hut and rent a float for the day. Last time we walked all the way out to the rocks at the end of the beach. Longer walk than you think. Take some snorkel gear if you have it. You will see lots of beautiful fish. Don't forget your sunscreen because the rays are strong down there and you don't want to burn and mess up your vacation. Enjoy your day!

Freeport

The feartherest I usually venture out is right at the pier in front of the ship. They have a few stores and drinking holes. There are also local crafters and a small straw market which you can buy all your souviners for your friends and family back home. If you like Counch fritters, there is a little gazebo with a little ole lady that makes the best. Did meet someone on the boat that took a kayak tour and ended up at the beach and said it was very nice. Not there long so enjoy what time you do have. Seat out front of the boat and enjoy the Caribbean music.
