This was a Spring Break cruise with my teenage daughter and her friend. I am not sure I will sail Royal Caribbean again. There was nothing really wrong, but the overall experience was a disappointment compared to our last cruise with Celebrity.
The dinner selection in the dining room was not great. I was expecting to have lobster as a choice at least one night, but it was only available for an extra $30 charge. Desserts were blah every night. Cake based desserts were dry and everything else was some kind of mousse. Breakfast and lunch choices were also repetitive and average.
The ship was well maintained and the staff was friendly. I asked for the snacks to be removed to make room on the counter but they were never taken away. I finally moved them to a top shelf myself.
This is an accessible cabin so was larger than the average cabin and had plenty of storage space. The location near the Centrum was convenient. A woman in the room next door was on a scooter and my daughter had to help her with the door. While the rooms were accessible, the entry was not!
We wanted to use the bunk bed so that all the floor space would not be taken up by the fold out couch, but it was so hard we switched to the sofa bed after the first night.
The window was so scratched we could barely see out of it.
We did some shopping then took a cab to Cable Beach. All the shops were closing up by 5 or so, so don't spend the day at the beach and expect to come back for evening shopping. Make sure you take home some rum cake!
We stayed at Melbourne Beach for one day before the cruise. Unfortunately it was cold, but otherwise enjoyable. I felt the parking charge at the port was much too high.
