This was my first NCL cruise and will certainly be my last! Let me start by saying I was in a "mid-ship balcony" cabin on deck 10. Great view from our cabin, room was clean (outdated but clean) and it goes downhill from here...... We were right under the main pool bar which is directly under the basketball court. I heard the pounding of basketballs from the 1st night up until the last night of the cruise, it was horrible. Sleep was sporadic as I could only do so from 12:00am until 6:00am until the basketballs started pounding again, it was almost like "Groundhog Day".

The ship was one of the smallest so the pool area was not as large as most 'mid' to larger ships and getting a pool chair was a joke! Everyone knows what the sign reads "if your belongings are left unattended for more than 30 minutes, they will be removed", well.......belongings were left from 6:00am to 6:00pm, people were actually putting towels and bags on the chairs while they took shore excursions (I actually witnessed this).

Moving along, it was spring break for a lot of kids and I think they were ALL on this cruise. You had to deal with kids screaming up and down the halls, stairs and around the pool area, you were better off staying in your cabin on the 'at sea' days so you wouldn't take the chance of being incarcerated by attacking one of these out of control teens. They would push their way to the bar and "demand" soda's while the adults waited 20-30 minutes in line for a drink. There were no parental controls whatsoever! It was like a huge, out of control zoo of kids for 7 scorching hot days (my next cruise will be adults only)! I understand this is not the fault of NCL but it was so bad, I feel SOMEONE from NCL should have stepped in and issued 'warnings' to these parents with their out of control kids.....it was THAT bad.
