My husband I just returned home from an 11 day cruise on the Paul Gauguin in French Polynesia. A couple of years ago we took a cruise on this ship and had such an awesome time we had to come back. This is one of the best ways to see Tahiti and its islands and atolls. What we enjoyed so much about this cruise is the all-inclusiveness; no surprises at the end of the cruise. With the exception of excursions, one cost for everything.

The size of the ship is perfect. It’s small enough to get individual attention where staff knows your name but big enough where there is lots to do; classes, gym, activities, restaurants, entertainment. The atmosphere is the ideal combination of small-ship elegance and luxury. The ship accommodations were elegantly appointed. The rooms are private and quiet and the beds were very comfortable; we slept well every night. The service on the ship was impeccable. From my cappuccino and my husband’s specialty omelet served to us for breakfast to my favorite martini served in the evening, staff knew what and when we wanted something before we asked. They were always willingly to help us with anything. The food was excellent; fresh, and lots of variety. From drift snorkeling in Fakarava to Tahitian dance classes, there were many activities and excursions to choose from. The crew made sure that we were always comfortable and safe. The scenery in French Polynesian was amazing. It was the perfect getaway.
