This was cruise number 16 on NCL. First time on the Epic. When I had heard that the Epic was re-locating, I decided that I had to get on this boat.

Yes the name of the boat is the Epic and it truly lives up to its name. However, I had no difficulties finding my way around the boat. It was very easy to get around and find out where all the good locations were.

I had an inside room that I shared with a friend of mine. I feel that the room was much bigger than any of the other inside rooms that I have gotten. There were no issues with us moving around the room, taking the luggage out from under the bed, getting ready etc. The "bathroom" was alot different than the other boats, but it was cool. Seeing that the only thing separating the room from the bathroom was a curtain. But, all in all it was a cool room.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Unfortunately, we had to skip over this port because we had to be tendered in and a storm had gone through the night before and had flooded the port and the water was too choppy. Its too bad because I heard that this was the place to go. But you cant control the weather.

Cozumel

We were supposed to meet up with a friend on the sky that was in dock next to the Epic, so we did not book an excursion. Plans fell through so we ended up just walking to the main street with all of the shops and the mall. It was annoying!! Most of the stores have all of the same stuff in them and all the owners are at the door front telling you to come into their store and that they have this for sale or that for sale. My friend was looking at a pair of sunglasses that were cheap plastic, with no price on them and the guy wanted 19.99 for them. We just walked away. However, the water was a nice color!!

Miami

Miami was the port of embarkation. Easy getting on the boat with no issues at all. The weather was good! All the staff in the port were good................
