I sailed the Carnival Dream SOLO on May 4, 2014. Even though I am single, I have always cruised (38 times) with other couples. This cruise was quite liberating for me. I booked a spa cabin on deck 12 and enjoyed unlimited access to the spa all week and used it frequently. I recommend the spa cabins... easy access and in a quiet area of the ship. However, note that balconies on deck 12 are open to the sky and the deck above, where people occasionally gathered at the rail to watch the sailaway and other festivities. If I booked a spa cabin again, it would be on deck 11 for more privacy and quiet.

The food and entertainment were pretty good. I loved the Lanai area on deck 5. This is a central space where they had bands playing at night and trivia during the day. It was the place where I would meet up with CC people that I had met earlier. The pool area was fun however, I found that the DJ music was just a bit loud. It was very hard to communicate with the bartenders and other passengers. I know this is the fun ship and I like to have fun, but this was too loud. I wrote a comment on my post-cruise survey, but the next time I sail her, if I find it too loud, I will make it a point to kindly ask the DJ to turn it down a little. Other than that, I would recommend this ship.
