We went on the Jewel last year to Alaska and absolutely loved it, we loved it so much we purchased 3 future cruises. Fast forward one year and we embark the Norwegian Star out of Los Angeled on the Mexican Riviera 7 day cruise. Horrible service, unhappy wait staff (washy washy was dismal), crickety boat with a lot of maintenance issues, The worst comic I've ever seen (Rod Long) and a total lack of excitement. Seriously considering just losing the prepaid cruises at this point. 10% of the staff were a pleasure (Nino, the Teppanyaki chef was awesome and so was the staff there, room steward Jonathan was great and the dealer Darlon from St Lucia was a gem). Oh and to top it off the ice cream machine served watery ice cream the entire cruise. BOO STAR BOO
