Celebrity Summit Cruise Review by travsol
- Sail Date: March 2015
- Destination: Southern Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Concierge Class 2
Ready to leave when there was a stop on flights because of radar issues in Miami. Called cruise care and told them what was happening and asked for options if we didn't make the ship. Response, call your airline and see if you can get to another island, I thought they we're supposed to take care of that. Guess not. Fortunately we made the ship verrrry close to the time of sailing. Many did not. As far as the cruise, it was very port intentisive. Ship is in need of a good paint job as rust was showing up everywhere. As far as cleanleness it was impeccable. The food was disappointing. The meat at dinner was dry and at lunch was tough to the point that you couldn't cut it with a knife. Our servers at dinner were great as were the whole staff, friendly and helpful. The ports were ok but a recommendation would be to take the cooking tour in Dominica, outstanding. The Captain was GREAT. mostly stuffed shirts, this guy was the most out going, sociable Captain we've every met.
