First a little background. My husband and I sailed on the Constellation March of 2014; we had a fantastic time. The service, food and entertainment was top notch. We were amazed at the quality of food in the Oceanview Café and the personality and care paid to us in the main dining room. As a result, I was expecting a similar experience for my recent girls cruise. Unfortunately, this was not to be.
This time around I found the buffet area to be totally uninspired, very little flavor in most dishes. The roast beef, once my favorite item served, was tough and full off fat. I was embarrassed that I "sold" this cruise ship and Celebrity's food to my friend as being better than Royal Caribbean. Needless to say, she was unimpressed.
The waiter and sommelier in the main dining room were fine, nothing special. In the past, on Celebrity and every other cruise line I've sailed, the waiter will speak with you at the end of your meal and provide information on the operating hours of the dining room for the next day, summarize any special events, etc. Not once did our waiter take the time to offer this.
The cabin was clean and well appointed with plenty of storage space. No problems encountered.
