Background - This was our 39th cruise with 14 of those with Celebrity. DH and I are 60 years old.

Embarkation - DH Bob dropped me at the terminal and went to park in the adjacent lot at 10:25. We began checking in at 11:00 and were on the ship by 11:15. Quick and easy. Staff very friendly and engaging.

The Cabin - We were in a CC Cabin # 1202 Veranda on Deck 10 Aft. The setup in our cabin was with the bed closest to the Veranda (which was what I had hoped for) the cabin had a warm and soft color palette. The bed was very comfortable with a high quality of linens which is important to me. The closet was my first surprise. I had been on the Naming and 2 day sail and was certain that our clothes weren't all going to be put away easily. As always I always over pack and DH is a clothes hound. I was able to get all the clothes that I normally hang into the closet with a bit of room left over (I brought 40 wire hangers that take up less space and used them all in addition to some of the wooden hangers provided) The thick bathrobes were put on the hooks in the bathroom. Shorts went on shelves and into a cupboard over the refrigerator and I used shelves under the safe for DH shoes. The one area that was not used easily was the floor of the closet. I did throw the beach shoes in there as they weren't needed as often but it wasn't easy getting to them with the sofa so close. I left the 2 life jackets under the bed in their basket and also was able to put two large suitcases and a large hanging suitcase under the bed with no problem. The space above the beds I used for beach wear, beach bags, etc. as it was a little more of a reach to get to it. Dressing table had several outlets so that we could use it for the blow dryer and curling iron at the same time. Also the chair was light and easy to move in and out.
