Cabin: Partially Obstructed Oceanview Porthole Window

This was our second NCL cruise and our fourth cruising the Western Caribbean.

Overall the cruise was fantastic. The Sun is a nice size ship that is easy to get around. There are a lot of nice, quiet public spaces to sit and relax. The music on board was a highlight. We enjoyed the steel drum by the pool, the guitar player, and piano player each day.

We ate in a specialty restaurant every night with the UDP.

Cabin Review

Partially Obstructed Oceanview Porthole Window

Cabin OX

Was originally worried when we were assigned this cabin immediately when booking a GTY.

All the worry was for naught. We got an incredible value having this room for what we paid, especially since we got the UDP included.

Room was clean and spacious. The location is off the beaten path down a small hallway that gets no through traffic. Hardly ever even saw another passenger down our hall.

Although the view is marked as obstructed, the large porthole window lines up perfectly with the oval cutout on the other side of the jogging track for a perfect view.

Noise level was relatively quiet, with the exception of the occasional jogger if you were in the room (mostly between 8am-9am) , however the jogging track is closed form 8pm -8am so no worries about noise at night affecting your sleep.

The art auction stores there art in a room off the pathway that leads to the cabin hall. Sometimes there were paintings stacked in the hall as they were putting them away with the occasional boxed being piled up. It did get a little annoying after awhile.
