This was out second cruise to the Caribbean. First was on Princess to Aruba. Married, 55yrs, old, Fla resident for 3yrs.Left Kids and Grand Kids at their homes. This was a last minute thing. We wanted to get away for awhile so we had so much fun on our last cruise 3 yrs ago that this seemed to be a logical choice. Living in Florida (formerly Mich) we could drive to Port Canaveral. I chose to book a "Park & Cruise" at the Radisson for the Sat night before we left. Good Decision. The Radisson upgraded our room to a King Whirlpool at no charge. They shuttle you to and from the cruise port so you don't have to go through the hassle and $60.00 (5 day) charge of parking your car. Great pool area too! Bought the "Faster to the Fun" option at Carnival. $50.00 for two, well worth the expense. One of the first ones on the ship at around Noon. Hit on every 5min by the Carnival Sensation staff to buy drinks. Had to get rude so they would leave us alone. Within 1.5 hrs we had our room, luggage, $$ on our card and food. Great so far!

First night was smooth sailing and enjoyed the party atmosphere and music. Loved the variable time dinner seating. Food and staff were good. Room was standard inside. Who stays in the room anyway. After an ok nights sleep we disembarked for Freeport. Small little tourist area just off the boat. You MUST book an excursion if you want to do something in Freeport. Otherwise just stay on the ship. You Can Not walk to anything! You CAN take a cab or book a tour. We did the Island tour and had a good time. Ya it's a little touristy but just make the best of it. Back on the ship by 4pm. The little kids took over the pool/hot tub area for the entire cruise. We hung to at the 21 and over sun deck/hot tub area most of the time. Lots of parents having to much to drink and not watching their kids! Lots of large women packed into small swimsuits. Most got fried crispy the first day and had to cover up their burnt well inked bodies.

Nassau was next. Booked an "Atlantis" tour for 11:15am. Got off the ship early at 9am. Walked the long pier toward town. At the end of the bridge were about a million tour sales people totally in your face trying to sell you "Their" package deal! People were afraid and walking with their heads down. It didn't get mush better when you got to town. The locals try to get you to buy the exact same stuff that everyone else is trying to get you to buy. I would NOT want to be down here after the sun goes down. NOTE: Almost ALL of the tours you book through Carnival will meet at the pavilion as soon as you get off the ship! THEY WILL NOT be there to give you any info sooner than 15min before your tour starts.

Cabin Review

Cabin 4B

Cabin was a little older and the bathroom floor needed some attention. But we don't spend very much time in the room at all. It was clean, bed was comfortable. I liked the TV channel that shows you where you are and remote camera's on the boat.
