Embarkation was very organized and quick and we were sitting on the Sunrise Deck with a drink in our hands minutes after we arrived on board.
The food in the MDR was excellent and was pleasantly surprised that each evening a local dish was added to the menu which we thoroughly enjoyed. We dined once in the specialty restaurant Ocean Liners which was excellent with their wine pairing menu. Qsine, the restaurant from the S-class ships was not all that impressive and would probably not dine there again. we don't usually eat in the Oceanview cafe but what was offered seemed very good. The sushi menu seemed more extensive than the S class ships that we've been on. We were glad to see that the lobster dinner had not disappeared like it has on many ships these days.
With so many excursions that we had planned we took the sea days to relax and did not go to the gym. The entertainment that we did see was standard and nothing that we saw really stood out as outstanding.
This was a port intensive cruise with long drives to most of the cities involved. Most of our excursions were organized through CC with exception of two: Bangkok on your own and the Hop on Hop off bus in Hong Kong. Bangkok on your own was virtually a shuttle from the ship to the city and back. Unfortunately, two young couples who had clearly not done their homework on the aspects of heavy traffic in Bangkok took exception to the timetable for the excursion and felt it was not enough time for what they wanted to do. After trying to bully the guide into extending the time they relented. Their inordinate sense of entitlement truly showed when the same two couples showed up an hour late while we sat in the bus waiting for them. Their selfish and inconsiderate behavior should have been met with an apology but that was evidently not their style.
When this was brought to the attention of the Shore Excursions desk, their reply was that Celebrity guarantees everyone on their excursions back to the ship. Surely we all would have liked to have as much time as possible on the tour, but the traffic in Bangkok can become snarled and unpredictable at times. Shame on those that would take advantage of Celebrity's policy at the expense of others. The Hong Kong Hop on Hop off bus, however, was well worth the price and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We chose this sailing for its itinerary and it did not disappoint. Each port was an unforgettable experience. All in all it was an excellent cruise and we have already booked our next in the Adriatic.

Hop On Hop Off Bus TourVery good way to see all the city in a short time span. We rode on a Sampan boat near the Jumbo Floating Restaurant near Stanley Park. Also included was Victoria Peak on the clearest day that we had there. It gave us tickets to ride the Star Ferry to Kowloon where we stayed for four more days.View All 13,768 Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour Reviews
Po Lin MonasteryThis is a tour we did on our own by taking the subway to Tung Chung which was amazingly simple. The cable car ride to the Monastery and Big Buddha was nothing short of fantastic. The views were spectacular as we slowly approached the Big Buddha in the mountainous distance.View All 8 Po Lin Monastery Reviews
