This was our second cruise and first with Carnival. While I have nothing in particular to complain about, and I can’t put my finger on exactly what the issue was, there just seemed to be something missing.
We had room 6319 that is in the middle of the ship so the main decks up and down were all easily accessible and we were about equidistant between two stairway/elevators. This is a balcony room that we both enjoyed. Our room steward, Mel, was great and he always called us by name when we passed in the hallway that made us feel appreciated.
We had late time dining, which in retrospect was probably a mistake. While our waiter, Antonio, was great and we had no real complaints with the food, having this dining time impacted what entertainment we were able to see. On our previous cruise the main shows were held at the same time as the dining options so the late diners went to the early shows and the early diners went to the late shows. The more adult oriented entertainment was held after the late show had concluded. On the Carnival Liberty the early show was help at the same time as the late dining option with a second show help later in the evening making where we had to choose between going to the main show or going to see a comedian.
