Well, I'm pleasantly surprised to be writing this review. This was our second cruise on RCCL. We typically cruise Carnival because it's so dang cost efficient and we usually cruise 4 in a cabin which Carnival will give you for like $70 (passengers 3 and 4). This time, since we were cruising to a familiar destination, Eastern Caribbean which we LOVE, we decided to put more emphasis on our ship selection and time on the ship. Making the ship the ultimate destination vs. ports of call.

We splurged for 2 cabins because it was actually cheaper than the 4 in one, my DH and I had a balcony and our teenagers were across the hall in a Central Park view cabin. I have to just say, the service on this cruise was among the best I've ever experienced. We started cruising as a family when the kids were little and we went with Disney. I don't believe we've had exceptional service since then, until the Allure. WOW! is all I can say, wow.

You would never have guessed their were 5K people on board this ship. Embarkment was a breeze with NO waiting in line. Every time we disembarked and embarked the ship there was litterally no wait. They seriously have crowd management down to a science. The food quality in the MDR was about what I'm used to on a cruise but the service was extraordinary. Our waitstaff greeted us each night almost immediately after we were seated. Bar service was very prompt and we were usually finished with desert within 1.25 to 1.5 hours. We did some specialty restaurants too but with the service being so good in MDR, we were glad to be back on their rotation.
