We were very happy with this cruise. We especially enjoyed comedy acts, juggler, and Rosario Strings. Not as crazy about Evergreen Trio and RC Singers & Dancers. We liked most of the people on the activities staff -- especially Andre, Lorna, Magic Mike and Marky Mark. We enjoyed the variety of activities but would have liked Karaoke every night. Movies in the Palladium on sea days were a great idea. We opted for main dining room early seating. Our wait staff and food selections were excellent. On the sea days returning to Baltimore we would have like more seating in the solarium. There was a policy against holding chairs but this needs to be enforced especially when it is too cold/windy to use the pool deck. We had a few cabin issues with lights, toilets, and not getting fresh towels.
We had interior stateroom for 3 people. It was a good value but not enough room for storage and getting ready for dinner. As mentioned above there were some issues with room and cabin attendant.
We drove to Baltimore the day prior and stayed at Holiday Inn Express to use their stay and park option. This works well for us because the cost of hotel, breakfast, shuttle, and parking is less than parking at port.
We went to Cocoa Beach. Rather than take the ship excursion for $16, we walked across the street and paid $12. There was a bit of a wait to board the van for the beach but return trip was quicker. Beach was great. Enjoyed the waves, surfers, and people watching.
Took bus #10 to Melia Beach Resort. Since I emailed them they changed their policy. Kayaks, stand up paddle boards, aqua cycles, and pedal boats were supposed to be included In $30 day pass. They finally agreed to honor this but it took about 45 minutes, and I had to show them original email on my phone. I was not happy about the unexpected hassle but in the end was glad we went there. We got to use the equipment as much as we wanted and enjoyed the swim up bar and St patty's day activities. Facilities were nice. Drinks were expensive but no more than ship prices.
I walked the length of Duval Street, did a little shopping, and returned to spend rest of day on ship. It was an interesting walk but not as fun as the other ports.
