We sailed March 7th to 14th out of Miami. This was our first time cruising and we generally go to Mexico 4 times a year to Adult Only 5 Star Resorts so that is what I have to compare it with. The ship was nice, rooms seemed nice and lots of storage for clothes and in the bathroom. They utilize the space well. Staff/Concierge were all excellent. No complaints there. Food for the most part was amazing. The buffets were at times a feeding frenzy and not enjoyable at all. We did do a la carte a couple of times for breakfast but it was slower and the eggs were runny even though we asked them to be cooked medium. A big turn off. I was surprise at how small the pools were and how deep they were. It was so crowded around the pools it wasn't enjoyable.

Our biggest complaint is we really only had 2 Ports to get off in. We didn't get to Puerto Rico until 5pm so we really were on the cruise for 4 days which is a long time. IF we do go again we would definitely pick a 4 port stop. Speaking to other cruises this ship is pretty tame and not a lot of action. I did enjoy the fact that there weren't that many kids though so by going on another ship with more action we would see more kids. We ate at the Murano one night and it was fabulous-that is the type of dining we are used to when we go to Mexico. The food presentation and table side cooking was awesome. We didn't see a lot of presentation in the MDR but then again they are cooking for that many people so they don't have time. We enjoyed all of our meals in the MDR and our servers were fantastic. We spent a lot of time in the Casino and lucky for us won a fair bit of money. Our friends were not so lucky but many people told us for the amount we gambled we should have been offered a free cruise and we were offered nothing. Getting on the ship was a breeze-we were actually quite shocked at how smooth it was. Getting on and off at Ports was also very smooth. Leaving the ship was a nightmare for our friends who were told they had an issue and needed to go Guest Services to fix it. They had to do this 3 TIMES! Then just as they were to get off they closed the line down and said too many people had gotten of and they had to wait another half an hour. Sure put a bad taste in their mouth and ours. We were outside waiting for over an hour for them and missed our shuttle costing us another $75 to get to the airport. Most of the shows were good but the comedian on the last night was lame. We enjoyed both our ports especially St Maarten where we had booked a private charter with Captain Bob to tour the Island. That was the highlight of our trip. So would I go again? Under different circumstances and probably a different ship-I would give it one more try. I will mention the Free Grats, Booze package and 300 OBC was definitely a selling point for this trip. We would never go if we didn't have this.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

We were planning on Coki Beach but the cab driver talked us into Magen's Bay. It was crazy insane and a million kids running around -5 ships I think in Port and one was a Disney. Wished we had gone to Coki instead. Our friends said it was great.

San Juan

Getting there at 5pm was a drag. Just went off and stopped at a bar and a casino and headed back to ship. Not worth stopping there. Nice to go back to the ship when it was quieter too.

Miami

We stayed at the Sheraton near the Airport and the hotel had a wonderful pool and tiki bar overlooking a golf course. Didn't even feel the need to leave there and go to South Beach although we did go off for dinner to a nearby restaurant that was known for its seafood. The hotel took us directly there and back but I can't remember the name.
