2nd trip on Carnival Valor, 2 years in succession so you know we (party of six) enjoyed it. Ships personnel remain attentive from the time you board until disembark, which did at the last minute.
Entertainment was great, food was great, drinks were great, guest we met were, great and time ashore very memorable.
Casino, not so giving this time, but I'll get even next time. Going to cruise to Bahamas on Carnival Splendor departing Norfolk, Virginia 17 October 2015, patiently awaiting, then in June another Carnival cruise for a wedding. Party got engaged on last cruise in February!
Outstanding, we choose only interiors because all we do is bathe and sleep there!!
Spent 25 years in the Navy so I've been here numerous time enough that I probably could be a tour guide. Consequently we shopped around in Old San Juan, ate and drank and some of the local businesses in vicinity of ships berth,
It's a beautiful island loaded with a lot of things to do and places to stay, my personal preference is the La Conch Resort!
St Thomas we did hire local transportation for the day and got a fellow that was born and raised there. He was a walking encyclopedia about all of not only St Thomas but all the adjacent islands. He was an amazing wealth of knowledge. He took us to some great eating and drinking places off the beaten path. Though it rained most of the entire day we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
What can you not love about Barbados, our favorite the "BOATYARD" go there every time we visit here and it is always a great place to eat, drink and "Meet Mary", ha!!
The beach is great with a lot of water sports, me I like to kick back and check out the scenery!!
Have been to St Lucia many times and I being the senior member of our group decided I would take a relaxing day and stay aboard, it was great having all the attention to myself. The group however did go on an excursion, some type of boating around the island snorkeling with a rum party afterwards. They enjoyed it immensely!
We usually go to the Sunset Bar on the beach by the airport which is always great, the name of the beach escapes me, but this time we went to Orient Beach which is very entertaining, with or without your swim attire, if you get my drift. It is a great place to eat, drink take advantage of the water sports and enjoy the scenery and boys and girls there is some scenery!
The group split up here, the newly engaged couple, went on a Catamaran Excursion and the rest of us went to the beach to work on tans, bask and drink in the sun. We all got local transportation to give our newly engaged couple a tour of the island!
