Sail Date: Nov 2008

We were on virtually the same tour as the previous reviewer, but I reckon we must have been in a parallel universe.

Firstly may I say that commenting on problems getting visas has nothing to do with Princess, before booking any holiday it is easy to find out what the necessary rules are, and if daunted, don't book. We, and all the friends we made on this trip, researched this aspect thoroughly and had no problems with this whatsoever.

The reason that Nagasaki was dropped from the itinerary was due to the protracted process with the Japanese immigration authorities, and due to complaints on previous voyages, Princess acted. Everyone I spoke to agreed that to have gone through the process twice would have been a nightmare. It also meant an overnight in Hong Kong which was the highlight of the cruise for us, and gave us the most wonderful evening sailaway through HK harbor. A shame to miss a port for those already familiar with HK, but still a great treat.
