This is our 9th cruise and we have enjoyed all of the others. After gathering so much information from this wonderful website, felt that I should pass along a few thoughts from out cruise.

The rates went so low that we jumped at this opportunity to try Carnival for the first time and we booked the trip 2 weeks prior. Arrived in Ft. Lauderdale that day before and stayed at the Renaissance Hotel. The room was very close to the port. So close that taxis would not go there because of the low rates but a shuttle was called and it cost $6 per person. People were dropped of for Princess on two separate ships and then we pulled up to see a massive line going around the building to the far back! What a long 2 hours! We were on the same cruise as a previous review so the monkey story was a LONG night!

SHIP - -Very Clean -Endless pool on Deck 9 was for 18 and older only and this included 2 Jacuzzis. There was a retractable roof over this area, the pizzeria and a bar there. Great place for adults but no music or things going on -Smoking on Starboard Side of Ship and in most lounges -Water Fountains to drink out of in many areas on deck -3 areas with 24 hour soft serve ice cream...chocolate & vanilla ice cream....strawberry & vanilla yogurt. In the back of the ship by the Endless pool on deck 9 they had toppings for the ice cream -Victorian Lounge front of ship. Bottom floor on Deck three had bar service. Top floor on decks 4 & 5...they did not connect to three. -Exercise Area /Spa at front of deck 11. Disappointed in the layout of the exercise area. Why have windows at the front when you can not really look out well, short! The whirlpool looked out into the gym. Shauna & Steam room had windows outside, nice & big. Must go through spa to get into the gym. Closed by 8 pm on several nights. -Photos - Tons of opportunities on this cruise! One night counted 10 places to take pictures if desired -Lido - Deck 9 - Sever areas to get food from, deli, buffet lines, pizza...make sure to check them all for what they had.
