I booked a 3 night 4 day cruise with daughter and grandson on the Disney Wonder. Arrived at port on morning of sailing via Disney bus from the airport. Check in went smooth, took about an hour in all. Once on board, we went to the beach blanket buffet and ate lunch. My grandson swam in the Mickey pool, it was loaded with kids and he had a blast. At 1:30 we were able to enter our balcony stateroom and was satisfied with it. It was very clean and offered alot of storage space for our belongings. It had a king sized bed (which was very comfortable), a pull down bed and a futon bed. We had the split bathroom, a balcony with 2 chairs and a table, a sitting area with a desk, sofa and chair as well as a small refrigerator. I hunted down our room attendant and told him how we wanted the beds to be made up, and to also leave us ice. He was very attentive to our needs, kept the room very clean (although every morning, we would pick up our belongings and store them so that he would not have to deal with alot of stuff lying around the room when he was cleaning). We were left clean towels twice a day as well as ice twice a day. We did use room service every afternoon, since we were scheduled for the late dinner seating. It always arrived promptly. The evening shows are definitely worth seeing and my grandson loved them. We left the ship the day we were in Nassau and went to Atlantis for the day. And of course, we left the ship all day when we were at Castaway Cay. The restaurants were all good, our traveling waiters were excellent. The only 2 complaints I would have is that there is not enough time to do everything you wanted to do, the other complaint (and it is really just an observation) is that they really push the alcohol on ship, which I took advantage of. I was just a little surprised that with a ship full of kids, the parents were drinking like fish. Just a little surprising. Another observation I had was that I expected the main lobby/atrium area to be larger than it really was. There were alot of photographers taking family photos, etc. As expected, there was always a kid having a melt down for some reason or another, probably out of sheer exhaustion. I know this grandma was very tired, so I can imagine how tired these kids were. My grandson had a meltdown also when he was not allowed to swim the night away. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this cruise. I really never felt overran with kids around me. The pirate party with fireworks is a must see. You can definitely keep busy on the ship without leaving the entire time. But I had never been to the Bahamas and I had to get off to experience that island some. The beaches are beautiful. The food is over the top and the staff everywhere are helpful and gracious. The morning of disembarkment went very smooth as well.
