Background Information: My husband (38) and myself (37) have cruised twice prior, both on Carnival Fantasy class ships. This was the first cruise for our three children, ages 15, 13 and 8. We chose this itinerary (Key West and Cozumel) because we were familiar with both ports and felt our children would enjoy them.

Embarkation: This was a breeze. We drove to Miami from Iowa. We arrived at the port around 11am, and were checked in (no lines!) quickly. We were able to board the ship by noon, and were able to get into our stateroom promptly at 1:30 as promised.

Ship Info: We sailed on the Carnival Imagination. This was our first cruise on a ship that was renovated and included the Waterworks children's play area as well as the Serenity "adults only" area.
