I had a perfect 7 day vacation this thanksgiving... carnival conquest far far exceeded my and my wife's expectations... its our first cruise so couldn't be comparative but I was reading through several reviews of this ship and other ships and had a picture of what to expect from this vacation... it took me by a total surprise... I won't go day by day descriptions... but embarkation at galveston and going in and out of cruise at all its ports of call was absolutely smooth... the tours were all booked through carnival (being my first time, didn't want to be more adventurous)... all excursions were superb... very well managed, well arranged, well timed out and much more than what we expected... before booking those excursions, i had read the reviews, saw youtube videos posted by others for those excursions, compared it to private agencies at the ports which offer same or similar tour and finally booked with carnival... they managed it as smooth as it can get... the room was ocean view on lowest floor... very spaced out, well utilized layout... room steward was excellent... he cleaned the room as many times i stepped out probably... towards the end, i was almost tempted to put do-not-disturb sign when i leave the room... so that he doesn't clean it up again... nothing was broken or not working in the room, we had honeymoon decorations bought in advance, which was great... we had those towel animals waiting every night to greet you... bathroom was cleaned and well kept all the time... food could have been defined as single thing that made our vacation to next level of pampering and luxury... we are indian origin and would love to have indian vegetarian meal... i wasn't sure how much of it i would get... i was prepared with all food packets, ready to eat meals etc for my wife is allergic to eggs and we both are vegetarian... well, the restaurant took care of it amazingly well with a simple one sentence request from us on first night... we had special indian vegetarian meal ready for us every dinner... not a simple meal, elaborate varieties and much more than what we can finish... just superb... we went for dinner at times just becoz we wanted to stuff in the indian food that they prepared with so much care specially for us... cant believe the cruise is over and i m back at work... given an option, i would take 7 days same cruise same destinations right now back-to-back and we wouldn't have run out of options on things to do, things to eat, activities to try and friendliest staff to greet... thanks to carnival and its staff for this excellent vacation...
