This was my second cruise (having taken my first in September on the Enchantment of the Seas) and I was pleasantly surprised that the fleet's smallest and oldest ship class provided a truly wonderful experience. I traveled with 7 others in my party, all family members (or practically). This four day Bahamian cruise was made even more memorable with my stay at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. The decor of this Ritz-Carlton was unlike any of the others and I recommend a trip. Unlike my first cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas the Majesty was far more cozy (considering its small size) and the embarkation and disembarkation process was smooth and without incident. Despite the ship not having a Chops restaurant it did have Johnny Rockets. However, given how nice the two-story Windjammer was, I didn't get a chance to go. The dining room menu was much like the one I had on the Enchantment two months before but I will say that our wait staff was far superior on the Enchantment. Nonetheless, the wait staff was more than adequate and the quality and presentation of the the food in all the dining areas was top-notch. The entertainment was so-so and unlike the Enchantment I opted only to see two shows. The Cruise Director, Ricky, was okay and all in all the cruise itself was very relaxing. There were no problems with plumbing or any of the things that are often concerns written about in other reviews. The staterooms were nicely sized and had flat panel televisions. Additionally, it was nice, given the layout of this ship's bathroom not to have the shower curtain stick to me! I also highly recommend an exterior cabin as it really is nice having the sun shine through. I would certainly suggest doing the 4-day instead of the 3-day cruise as it does provide for more time to relax and enjoy the Bahamas (and Key West). I had the pleasure of meeting some very avid cruisers (they've cruised close to 200 times on RC) and I have affectionately dubbed them the Steele Trap as once you start hanging out with them you truly become consumed. I met them (and their existing groupies) when I decided to play trivia. We ended up winning Final Trivia! I never really thought about the socialization aspects of cruising as I've never attended any of the 'mingles' activities but am grateful for having done so on this cruise. I must say that the entire trip was memorable as everything was a smooth process. I did, as I tried to avoid, spend way too much money on pictures but hey, you only live once. I would recommend the Majesty of the Seas and hope to again cruise on the ship.

Nassau, Bahamas - Having taken note of some of the suggestions on other Cruise Critic reviews my family and I took a water taxi. I will say that if you have nothing to do but be leisurely, then this is the way to go as the waiting process and the 'island mentality' when it comes to time can really get you annoyed. However, given the $6 round trip cost and the nice boat ride, it was okay. Oh, I did forget, on the boat ride there was a guide who 'isn't paid by the company' who passes around a cap for tips. Despite getting the same information on both trips, it is worth mentioning. We went to Paradise Island to walk around Atlantis and it was a nice little trip. Earlier we also went on the mainland and visited the Pirate Museum. That was the least expensive of the excursions and was a terrific surprise as it was entertaining and air conditioned! Also, it was within three blocks of the port and so we walked and when it was time to go to Atlantis the water taxis were also within walking distance.

Cococay, Bahamas - This RC private island has something for everyone. It's really like a child's paradise given the number of water attractions and inflatables there are. If you're like me simply sitting out on the beach with a good book was enough! You are taxied to the island from the ship and the island is just the right size so that there's ample space for everyone.
