We did the pre-Thanksgiving trip and had a great time. Service and food not as good as last time, but still acceptable.
The cabin was large, as carnival usually is. The only strange thing was no amenities (complementary razors, toothpaste, etc.) until the second day and these were taken away before we debarked on the last day while we ate breakfast. We had to ask for a bar of soap, and it too disappeared while we were at breakfast so we had to use shower soap to wash our hands. Our cabin steward was strange with limited English, so I chalk it up to that.
We had 4 cabins, and the upper bunks in 3 of them were fine for the kids.
