We cruised with 2 adults & our 4 1/2 year old daughter. The last cruise we had to compare with was NCL in Hawaii 2 years ago. Embarking in Sydney was easy & quick. Once on board we were very impressed with the 5 star feel.

Our cabin was outside with a balcony. A little small, but lots of spaces for storage & a sleeper sofa for my daughter. Our room cabin steward was absolutely amazing. The best I have ever had on a cruise! If we asked for anything we had it almost immediately. Our cabin was always immaculate with everything we needed. I asked if he could come live with us in Sydney!

Our daughter practically lived at the kid's club. This is a life saver for parents, especially when you have an only child with you on a holiday. She found lots of friends, with the club being open morning, daytime, or night it meant that my husband & I could relax by ourselves whenever we wanted to. Some of the staff seemed a little burned out compared to the kid's club on board the NCL cruise in Hawaii, but this could have been because the ship was previously repositioned from Alaska to Australia without many kids on board. Nevertheless our daughter thoroughly enjoyed all the activities & the new friends she made on board. I booked a massage at the spa the first couple of days on board. The cost was outrageous, more than triple the cost I would pay at a spa in Sydney (& not really that great of a massage), then they always remind you of the minimum 15-20% tip you need to add to the cost at the end of the session. Being American & growing up with the tipping concept I understand why it is like this on an American boat, however I have lived in Australia the past 12 years & was in shock when I totaled up the bill for my massage + tip. Needless to say I didn't visit the spa for the rest of the trip.

Cabin Review

Great balcony, lots of spaces to store your stuff, quite location, small bathroom, bed was a little too hard, nice linen, hair dryer in the cabin, no internet capability in cabin
