RCI's Vision of the Seas 7 Day Mexican Riviera cruise was my first experience with cruising. What a way to introduce a new way of travel. I had a fabulous time - single early 30's female & traveling alone (with a friend working aboard as crew). I was a bit apprehensive about taking a cruise, I tend to get pretty sea sick - but ginger tablets did the trick & 1/2 a bonamine on the open sea days.

The ship was more than I could have expected... everywhere I turned there was brass, beautiful wood, marble & glass... the Centrum is breathtaking. It was like a floating first class hotel! I was budget minded - traveling alone & having to pay a single supplement, so it was a larger inside cabin on a low deck in the forward of the ship. I was right under the theater... but that didn't matter - I wasn't in my room during shows anyway. I was surprised at the amount of comfort they could squeeze into such a small space, then again I didn't have to share the closet or cabin with anyone else.

The stateroom attendants, wait staff and head waiters were amazing!! Be sure to tip if service warrants it - that's really the only way these people make a living, including your Casino Dealers!! The crew was young, culturally diverse, enthusiastic and most helpful. They keep this ship incredibly clean - I bought new deck shoes before the trip & only wore them on-board, the soles were spotless after my voyage - now that's clean!!
