Independence of the Seas 4th Oct from Southampton to Madeira,Canary Islands,Lisbon and Vigo. What can I say !! Brilliant, we loved it. My husband, sister in law, Brother in law and my daughter (17) and myself all travelled to Southampton from Glasgow. The ship on first sight is wonderful. Close up when we boarded was even better. Getting on board was a complete dawdle, we had done our on line boarding and there was NO queue. We could not have been more than 15 mins. How clean sparkling and friendly the ship was we couldn't believe it. The Windjammer was serving lunch and what a selection !!

A special mention to the Windjammer staff they were magnificent. My hubby was poorly (drink related)and we requested an omelette at dinner, which was made by the Catering Director no less !!!! (He was wearing a suit with a lot of gold on it but how was I to know??) How impressed were we when someone told us who he was.

The young greeter lady at the door every morning was a complete tonic singing her "good morning" bah humbug to the morons who berated her for being too loud with their hangovers.
