Overview - This was our eighth cruise with Princess in seven years, and our first cruise to Alaska. I have to warn everyone, you will either love this cruise or hate it, as I absolutely loved the cruise, where-as my wife thought it was about as much fun as watching ice melt! The cruise was a one-way (South Bound) cruise aboard the Island Princess from Whittier to Vancouver.

Embarkation - Princess has embarkation down to a science, and as Platinum Card Holders, we had a Priority Line which allowed us to be on board with-in just minutes. Compared to previous experiences, this was a joy as we had no hassles and were able to enjoy the cold but scenic views from our balcony in less than a half hour from the time we left the bus that took us to Whittier from Anchorage.

State Room - We had a Balcony on the Baha Deck (Deck 11) as we always opt for a Balcony or Mini-Suite. The room was clean, and although we would have preferred a Mini-Suite, the Balcony Staterooms have ample room for two people. We met our Steward, who was a "GEM" during the whole cruise, keeping our stateroom clean when-ever we ventured out to eat or when-ever we left for our shore excursions. Having a good Steward can make or break a cruise, and Caesar was a one of the best we have ever had.
