We had five women in our party and we flew in from Sacramento, Ca. We flew in the night before and spent a day in San Diego. Had been there once before, but was not really impressed either time. Went to Mission Beach. It was OK, but the water was not particularly warm and the beach was quite crowded. The Gas Lamp district is pretty cool for dinner. There are a ton of restaurants.

We arrived at the Port at 11:30am. We thought we would have to wait to board, but they whisked us right in. Couldn't get into to rooms until 1:30pm, but immediately ate lunch and had the "drink Of the day". The buffet at Tiffany's was pretty good for a ship buffet. Our room was ready at 1:30pm and luggage was delivered at this time. We had one cabin with two in it and one with three. I was in the one with three people and had volunteered to take the "rollaway" bed. I was nervous ahead of time about this arrangement, but must say it was the most comfortable "rollaway" I have ever had. There was plenty of room in the cabin and I was very pleased with the arrangement. Only comment is that the closet doors and bathroom doors sort of butt up against each other. We were very happy with the in room safe. Had had this on Princess cruises, but not on Royal Caribbean. It makes you feel more comfortable to leave valuables in a safe.

We had the late seating for dinner. Service was very good, and most of the food selections were quite good. If you don't like something, let them know and you can order a different item. There is really no chance you will go hungry. The dining room was very beautiful, as was the whole ship. More on a par with Princess than Royal Caribbean, which seemed a little more "discount" of a cruise.
