Overall the cruise was perfect for myself and my 2 Teenagers. I wanted to have a Mom/Kids bonding vacation right before my Daughter left for College. I was looking for a "Deal" / but I should have been more careful about all the "extras" They DO add up! Our bill at the end of the cruise was almost $900 !! That was more than the cruise. She is 18 and my son is 15. My son sailed Free w/ 2 paying adults. We sailed on MSC last Christmas (loved it) We flew into Miami Way too early because we had air miles. We were stuck wandering the streets until we were able to board. On the web, NCL stated that since we had a balcony cabin, our luggage would be carried to our room as we boarded. A port Authority guy practically yanked it from us after we got out of the cab and said we would see it later that evening. I later saw some people carrying on ALL of their luggage themselves. I would do this or pack a backpack so you could change and enjoy the ship/ but wait, THE SHIP WAS NOT READY! There was nothing to do except eat lunch from noon till 4pm- our rooms were not ready till about 3 and the pools were not even filled up. Not a nice way to start. We got Bon Voyage "drinks" as we set sail. I would definitely get the soda card if you have teens,I think it was $20.00 and it was all you can drink sodas. Way worth it.

Our room was much smaller than on MSC. The balcony was tiny and we really did not even go out there much. There was very closet space, we jammed most stuff under the beds and stuck one of the chairs on the balcony so there was room for the sofa bed to fold out. We loved the room service for Breakfast- had it every morning except it was not available on the last am. Our service was good- they really seem to try hard. When we asked for a fan, the porter said of course... and I said wait/ you need to know our room/ he said/ you are in room#### Mrs Smith and he was right! We had only been on the ship for 5 hours at this point.

As far as Activities and Entertainment- Make sure you bring something White to wear for the White Hot Party. It is a late night party on the pool deck with ice sculptures etc. We did not go to any of the shows except for an adult scavenger type thing. The BINGO was a rip off. They said it was a $5,000 bingo and I got all excited and paid $90 dollars for everycard I could get because there were maybe 50 people in the room and I figured that my odds were good. WELL... when they pulled a certain number of balls and a bingo had not been called they said/ SORRY? No Jackpot today!
